Best moment at an LWE event in 2016?
Alice: Going up on the main stage for the first time at 8pm at Junction 2. As well as watching people walk over the hill and realising that the main stage really was under the motorway over a bridge on an island. And then my final meeting with the police and council after Junction 2 and being told they were happy with everything I had produced and operated. Oh and my first site visit to Printworks.
Char: The real Dr Who turning up at our Drumcode Halloween show and getting into a row in the VIP bar. Excellent. But seriously, the first site visit to Printworks was very special.
George: First week I started working for LWE at Junction 2 (intense!) and seeing Mr. G tear up The Hydra stage. The most energetic set I have ever seen, hands down!
Jack: I don’t get to see many of the sets at shows usually, but Max Cooper’s EMERGENCE show was really something I’ll remember. Watching him mix a live set, with DJing, and controlling the visuals was pretty amazing.
Laurien: Seeing Max Cooper at the Islington Assembly Hall with stunning visuals perfectly synchronized to the music + goosebumps at the end of Junction 2.
Mike: My interview at AMP – As a result i’m part of the team!
Mimi: Junction 2 festival – standing at the top of the walk way (at the entrance) and looking down at the crowd under the brigde – the visuals were insane. Runner up moment would be Will trying to talk Avelino and his crew into playing at his allotted time @ AMP – that was hilarious.
Zoe: Watching Basement Jaxx play their big hits at TD. The crowd were loving it!
Zofia: Standing on the main stage at Junction 2 during Alan’s set, seeing the audience under the bridge…. had tears in my eyes. And taking my polish parents to Front Of House in the Great Gallery at Drumcode Halloween.
Alice: Watching First Dates. I NEVER watch TV either.
Char: Custard Creams. Office temptations.
George: Love Island – ITV3!
Jack: Binge eating on nights out.
Laurien: Krispy Kremes.
Mike: Sean Paul.
Mimi: Anything Marvel comics related – Dorky I know!
Sean: Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
Zoe: 80s classics.
Zofia: Sticky toffee pudding with loads of custard… mmmmmmm.
Alice: Junction 2 😉
Char: Junction 2 obviously. After that, Love International with all my old friends and Timewarp was insane.
George: Sunwaves 20. On a beach in Romania. 35 degree heat. €1 drinks. 24hr party, 4 days. Amazing line up! & Junction 2 of course!
Jack: Unfortunately I didn’t make it to any this year apart from Larmer Tree, it’s got to be Junction 2.
Laurien: J2 and after that Dour festival in Belgium. 5 days of music almost 24/7 and a great selection of artists from several music genres
Mimi: Choices are limited; but Junction 2 was awesome and I’m not even into techno lol.
Sean: Junction 2 is a given.. ADE 2016.. Pan-Pot absolutely destroyed De Marktkantine.
Zoe: Junction 2, of course.
Zofia: Junction 2, Secret Garden Party – not too many people, perfect weather, no queues, great team, great line up. Everything I wanted from a festival experience. And I’ve driven a van there first time in my life (note I’m a european right-hand side driver…)
