Sat about in the studio surrounded by “Lots of cups of tea, lots of prawn crackers, Yamaha HS80M’s, 3 maschine controllers, Novation Impulse 61, Novation mini” are Bondax; a UK based bass music duo that have bounced onto the scene over the last year. Probably best know for ‘Baby I got That’, they are also masters of the remix, with their recent booty of ‘No Diggity’ giving a fresh twist to the classic.
Bondax have blended the sounds of house, downtempo and garage to craft a sound that strikes a perfect balance between dance floor and easy listening. Whether it’s a 4×4 riddem or a song, you can always hear the duos distinctive ambient hallmark; creating feel good music that can inject some sunshine into your day. The combination of loose synths, soft high hats, wholesome basslines and cleverly chopped up vocals have made them a firm favorite with the heads as well as more commercial audiences.
Having been working hard on their new live show, this autumn will mark their debut headline live tour of their home country. They are delighted to have the “chance to play a side of [their] music that we rarely get to hear out live.” And although they are just as creative behind the decks as in the studio, they feel that a live show will allow for a more dynamic performance.
The tour will reach all the major spots in the country, whilst LWE will be hosting the London date on this homecoming tour. Just after the duo will have embarked on a summer of gigs across the European festival circuit as well as American dates. For more information on this event and tickets click here.
“We like to hope our DJ sets are exciting and creative, but playing live obviously gives us more control of the music. So yes, we’re both excited to express ourselves in a natural way.”
