Cadenza’s Top 5 Tracks

Cadenza, aka Oliver Rodigan, has positioned himself as one of the most exciting and original artists to have emerged from Bass music in the last few years. Bringing influences from a wide spectrum of sounds into his productions and DJ sets, Cadenza has not piggy backed off the back of his Dad’s success, but has created a path from himself. From interning for Diplo, Cadenza was quickly touring with Major Lazer, and has continued to excel with his unique blend of bass driven sounds.

Listen to 5 tracks that he’s been digging this summer…

Super Cat – Dance Inna New York

“With the news that Super Cat is back on the scene, I had to include a cut from him. He is the template for pretty much every current dancehall MC and he is still the best. You might recognise this from Nas’ – The Don”

The Frightnrs – Admiration (Cadenza & Toddla T Remix)

“Toddla and I both had a mutual respect for The Frightnrs so we just did this remix for fun. The original had so much class to it that we just wanted to bring that UK influence to it so it could work in the club.”

Kiko Bun – Shy Man

“This was recorded at Alborosie’s Sheng Geng Clan Studios in Kingston. The calibre of every musician on this record was phenomenal’

Shyne ft. Barrington Levy – Bonnie & Shyne

“I wish Shyne came back with a second album, this was one of my favourite records when I was a kid…”

Popcaan – Way Up

“It has been the catchphrase of the summer so I imagine it will still be around come winter… Thank you Drake.”
