Cocoon Preview

Ahead of Cocoon’s return to the Greenwich peninsula this July, here’s a quick glimpse at some of the sonic vibrations that will be pumping through Studio 338’s Terrace. With a selection of regular faces from the label, those that have ventured out to the WHite Island will be well aware of these names if they’ve ever been to Cocoon at Amnesia. Here’s an introduction to each of the artists on the bill, and some of their terrace inspired sounds below. Expect studio 338 to feel Balearic on July 4th.

Needing no introduction Ilario Alicante is a firm staple on all of Cocoon’s global events; and has grown into being one of it’s most rounded artists. Still young in age, it’s Ilario’s creativity and the fact that he’s not afrai to try and play a record a little different from the rest that makes his sets so exciting. It’s hard for us to forget when he eneded a biding set with the upltifting music sounds better than you with Cocoon back in March 2013.

Christian Burkhardt has been part of the furniture when we think of Cocoon, and his live sets are on point, innovative and constantly evolving with new inspirations. Following on from his intoxicating performance at Building Six earlier this year, we’re very excited to see what he’ll do with his fingers on the buttons this time.

Hailing from the the Cocoon hub of Frankfurt is Markus Fix, an open-air specialist who will fit the terrace vibe of 338 perfectly. Hedonistic, rolling and charismatic behind the decks, Markus embodies the spirit of electronic music culture and always brings the party.

Another Frankfurter, Sacha Dive’s dedication to dropping dancefloor weopans has sat him on a peddle stool above his peers. He flies the flag for the real vinyl sound and has become a favourite on the terraces globally for his purist ethos.

On top of that we’ll have Einzelkind playing at Cocoon London for the first time. Owner and A&R of LA Pena and Pressure Traxx, the Berliner is not on the bandwagon, and ticking the cliches like the rest.
