Oval Space is a multi purpose blank canvas space, that’s been a regular spot for clubbers over the past few years. A spacious yet intimate venue, that has an industrial feel has allowed for it to become a heads down atmosphere that attracts those there solely for the music and party. Versatile in terms of production options the venue can suit a minimal and stripped back look, or provide the ideal setting for a more involved stage or visual show.
The Bethnal Green venue will be given a vibrant facelift for Toddla T’s Winter Carnival, with Toddla bringing in a set inspired by the sights, sounds and smells of Notting Hill Carnival. Last year KOKO was treated to an injection of colour, wall of bass and myriad of carnivaleque production. Here are a few pics of the set below.
From an unassuming entrance, the club opens up into a cavernous warehouse loft with a state of the art d&b audiotechnik sound system and two outdoor terraces. With floor to ceiling glass windows along one side and an uninterrupted view looking out onto the behemoth decommissioned gas works, watching the sun rise over the industrial landscape in East London has become an iconic clubbing experience.
