The wheels are in motion for the next installment in Shogun Audio’s series of warehouse parties. £15 tickets have sold out much quicker than anticipated for the this one, that will see the label’s acts delve deep into their record collections for a 2 hour set special. Highly sought after DJ/producer Mefjus will make a guest experience, and with all the usual suspects on the mic – the Shogun crew are set to shake the rubble off the Sidings arches.
This is a rare opportunity to watch extended sets from some of bass music’s most innovative artists, all within the intimate and grimey surroundings of the Sidings warehouse. Not only is this something you don’t get to see very often, but it will give them the chance to dust off the cobwebs on some hidden gems. Label figurehead Friction has been busy assembling Rockwell, Technimatic, Spectrasoul and Mefjus for this one-off showcase, and is looking forward to experimenting with his longer set time:
“Normally if you catch me at a festival it’s for an hour and it’s non stop bang, fast and furious, but if it’s longer set I can go a bit deeper, and play stuff I might not normally play… People will experience something a bit unexpected as there will be time to switch it up and more options to express my creativity.”
