There are many things that define who Seth Troxler is, but what some people might not know about Seth is his love for cooking. As three time champion of the Amsterdam Dance Event DJ cook-off, Seth is just as handy in the kitchen as he is in the DJ booth.
In 2013 he opened Smokey Tails in Hackney Wick, a new pop-up restaurant specialising in BBQ smoked meat and cocktails, all accompanied by the finest electronic music. The original Smokey Tails was based at London E9’s Container Yard, 119 Wallis Road and was reminiscent of Berlin’s Club der Visionaere, with Seth’s friends turning up for surprise DJ sets. It remained open for the whole of the summer serving up exquisite smoked meats, sublime salads, knock-out frozen cocktails, independent guest ales and mighty fine desserts. The name is a fusion inspired by the smokey meats cooking on the BBQ and the abundance of cocktails on offer.
Seth’s inherent passion for BBQ food means that he couldn’t resist bringing the Smokey Tails experience to Acid Future… He’ll be taking over the rooftop at Tobacco Dock this August – juggling plates inbetween selecting vinyls downstairs!
