Tale of Us Preview

It seems that Karm and Mateo were always meant to be a duo. Originally from North America, both of them moved to Milan at very young age and quit school to study audio engineering. After quickly getting bored of that the two artists met up and started working together. Moving to Berlin in 2009 was a spark that resulted in the emerging of Tale Of Us.

2011 was the breakthrough year for them – with their first debut release on Visionquest, followed by series of collaborations with Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves. Their remix of Disco Gnome, which brought them a huge boost in record sales and a cascade of positive reviews. It was released on Life & Death, a record label that Tale Of Us started together with DJ Tennis and Greg Oreck from Thugfucker.

Their sound is influenced by a variety of genres, diverging from Rock and Indie through Pop and Disco to Techno and House. Tale Of Us created their own niche and became kings of melodic electronic music scene.
Appearances at festivals including BPM and Time Warp and numerous gigs, topped up with December Australia tour made 2014 an extremely busy year for the duo.

At the beginning of 2015 they announced that they will be taking some time out from gigging, to focus on their upcoming album. We’re delighted to have the pleasure of being their first host after the break…
