E1 & LWE present
Antonio De Angelis
An uncompromising, full-throated selection of techno luminaries will be taking the helm on March 14th, as Dax J, 999999999, VRIL (live), Zanias and our resident Antonio De Angelis lead the charge for a night of industrial, no-nonsense club sounds.
An unwavering figure in contemporary techno, and label head of the revered Monnom Black label, there are few who can attest to the prolific and diverse talent of London-born, Berlin-based Dax J. Championing a raw and non-complicit sound, Dax's performances meld obscure selections with a unique craftsmanship, to create powerful, indelible sets.
99999999 comes next. An enigmatic trio that advocates the harder end of the techno genre, their Nine Times Nine imprint is the perfect representative of their distinctive sound. Gritty, unyielding productions are the staple of the Italian collective, manifesting in equally potent performances.
Germany’s Vrill returns to E1. His live performances have garnered a reputation for immensity, with aspects that are often described as impossible to comprehend. Merging elemental cuts with sounds rooted in dub techno, descriptions can only go so far when illustrating the performances of such a special character.
Zanias, the Australian-born, Berlin based founder of Fleish Records, also joins the billing. An accomplished vocal singer and producer, it was in 2018 that she appeared on Dax J’s critically acclaimed Offending Public Morality album. Her own releases have made sizable impact on Dax’s own Monnom Black as well as Noiztank, the latter of which featured a remix by fellow techno heavyweight, Kobosil.
Our resident, and an artist who is continuing to carve out his own bespoke path in the electronic music soundscape, Antonio De Angelis rounds off the billing. Curator of our in-house event series Volt, he is no stranger to the intricacies and complexities of our custom-built soundsystem.
