A mix I did for the Podcast series for the Phonica record store in London (for those who don't know)
I love this mix because it's just a lot of fun. I love this era of percussive techno from around '98 - '04. A lot of classics, layered tools, vinyl chops and tricks in fast techno here.
2nd release on Psssh Records, very happy to have this out, looking forward to letting 003 go too…
You made me choose one but it's honestly impossible to answer… So spontaneously my mind goes for// i’ll pick this one because it's got it all, timeless signature sound, strong narrative and an impeccable groove. It never fails on you and is always a killer on a dance floor.
An Essay Investigating the Origins of Human Knowledge and Its Transmission Through Myth by Giorgio de Santillana - it’s a nonfiction work of history and comparative mythology, particularly the subfield of archaeoastronomy. It is about the unfolding development and transmission of knowledge via science, myths and the interactions between the two.
A beautiful and dramatic tale taking its inspiration from a true story, made in the tradition of surrealistic and poetic old theatrical Italian movies such as Fellini, but with a contemporary approach and direction. A true masterpiece.
