J2v First Stage And Acts AnnouncementMon 18th May
Junction 2 presents J2v
Saturday 6th June 2020
16.00 – 22.00
J2v will take place in 2 worlds. There is our world, a land of rules and gravity. And there is the world we are creating. On Saturday 6th June, J2v will thrust the underground dance community together in both, merging the digital world with the natural and blending realities.
In our new electronic dimension, we’re busy creating a 3D online platform complete with music stages where J2v will exist. This digital environment is constructed of geometric planes, abstract structures and mind-bending visuals. It’s a place where you’re free to roam and interact with the world, while communicating in real time with fellow attendees via a private chatroom.
In the natural world, we will by bringing the party out of the screen and into your homes. 25 lucky participants will win a J2v Black Box, containing everything you need to set up a full bar for the duration of the broadcast, hand delivered to your door.
Developed in association with Soulshakers, the minds behind the real-world Junction 2 bar menu, each J2v Black Box will contain ingredients for a selection of cocktails, Relentless Energy drinks, premium Asahi Super Dry beer, mixers, ice, J2v merchandise and plenty more. Additionally, each J2v Black Box includes an exclusive Relentless Black Pass, which grants entry to the cardholder for 2 x backstage passes to Junction 2 Festival 2021, and entry to all other LWE events until December 2021. FIRST MUSIC STAGE ANNOUNCED:
Hosted by Drumcode
in association with Relentless Energy drink
Artists in order of appearance:
Adam Beyer. Alan Fitzpatrick. Anna. Bart Skils. Joel Mull.
In association with Relentless Energy drink, we can now announce the lineup for our first music stage; The Console.
Hosted by long-time Junction 2 collaborators Drumcode, it won’t be difficult to identify The Console when navigating the grid. Eight spires with marble-shaped stacks form an octagonal perimeter around the dancefloor. In the centre, sits a pyramid on top of which a globe stage rotates. No matter where you are standing, everybody benefits from equally blessed visibility.
Drumcode has spent the last two decades crafting a signature sound, developing its own roster of talent and attracting top tier DJs and producers to release on the label and play at its events. The Console stage line-up for J2v is reflective of all those factors.
Adam Beyer has been a face of Junction 2 from the very beginning. He leads from the front at J2v, with the Drumcode chief playing the closing set on The Console. Just like his appearances under the M4 flyover, you can guarantee sparks from one of the biggest names in electronic music.
Another vital cog in the Drumcode machine, that we welcome to J2v, is Alan Fitzpatrick. Having played a huge role for DC over the years either through releases or at its events, Alan has since developed into the full package and today he is a key player within the techno community.
Bringing samba flair, ANNA is the South American export who has worked her way up the ranks to become a hugely important player in the Drumcode family. Jump on the information superhighway and prepare for the kind of deep techno that fills cavernous spaces with warmth.
Injecting more continental influence, Bart Skils is the next guest and another artist who has developed an intrinsic relationship with Adam Beyer down the years. Together they have combined in the studio, forming a formidable partnership. Production aside, the Dutchman is also a seasoned DJ and a great addition to the J2v line-up.
Adam Beyer’s fellow Swede Joel Mull has long been associated with Drumcode and its sister label, Truesoul. A technical craftsman and an expert at wielding records like a scapel, we was immensely looking forward to welcoming Joel to Junction 2 for the first time this year, so only felt right we invited this techno purist to be part of J2v. We’re delighted he accepted.
