Welcome to 2020Wed 8th Jan
From another award-winning outing of Junction 2, to delivering the biggest elrow event in their history, 4 sold out events at Tobacco Dock (ABODE, Cuttin' Headz, Drumcode and Horizon 2020), another spectacular ABODE In The Park and many other amazing showcases, 2019 was an incredible year at LWE.
None of these highlights would have been possible without your support so we want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all of you who came and danced with us. With the decade now at a close, we step into the 20’s with even more purpose, passion and vigour to deliver many more incredible moments for you all.
From intimate shows to grand scale events, at new and never before used venues and locations, we’ve got an absolutely incredible year planned ahead and we cannot wait for you all to be a part of our journey. Below we look at some of the highlights…
Sphere. Magazine, London. 15th Feb – 21st March
Located just a two-minute walk from North Greenwich tube, the freshly built Magazine London will home Sphere, a 360 degree lighting installation spread across 10,000 sq ft. This new production concept will be the first of its kind in London, complemented by a bespoke L-Acoustics Soundsystem, provided by LWE’s long term partners BCS Audio. The same winning combination that has won accolades at Junction 2 Festival. Expect different depths to the dancefloor and a myriad of production techniques to create a glowing iridescence amongst the new space.
Merging together the latest advancements in production with an all-star cast from the highest echelons of electronic music, Sphere will explore a variety of house and techno and everything that falls within those circles. We’ve enlisted Adam Beyer, Charlotte De Witte, Eats Everything, Hot Since 82, Maceo Plex, Marcel Dettmann, Patrick Topping, Richie Hawtin and Skream, amongst many others, for this momentous series.

Taking place in Dhërmi, Albania, ION reconceptualises what an overseas festival experience can be, inviting you to get outside the usual festival fences and have a real holiday experience. When the days spent exploring or relaxing are done, the night-time fun beckons guests into new worlds where their favourite electronic artists will play in settings precisely calibrated to immerse them in the moment.

2020 will see LWE return to our regular stomping ground at Tobacco Dock. The renowned East London venue will host Re-Textured Festival on 4th April, combining the best in underground and experimental electronic music with innovative lighting installations. In addition, a never before used room will be opened as the venue transforms into a fully immersive, boundary pushing affair.
A week later Tobacco Dock will welcome Hospitality on Good Friday featuring the likes of Camo & Krooked, S.P.Y. and DJ Marky, whilst ABODE take control on Easter Saturday for another unforgettable escapade. You can also expect further Halloween howls and New Year festivities at TD after the summer.
elrow Town London
DJ booths in space ships, dancers on stilts and enough confetti to cover an entire football pitch, elrow Town is one of the most immersive music experiences of our time. In 2019 we brought the festival juggernaut to Trent Park, increasing the capacity to 25,000 party goers for an elrow party on an unprecedented scale. This summer we look forward to doing it all again as elrow return to the capital with yet another all-conquering festival. Preceding this will be a very special showcase in London, featuring the debut of a new theme. More info coming soon.
