Community

In 2025, we launched our 1% for the Park and Community program. An initiative where artists performing at The Bridge donate 1% of their fee to help create a lasting legacy and support local community values.

This year, we are asking local residents and festivalgoers to vote between these local organisations:

Hounslow Community Foodbox

Hounslow Foodbox provides emergency food parcels and essential household items to local residents facing immediate financial hardship.

Minds to Media (MTM)

Minds to Media uses music, film and game design to empower young people and build mental health resilience through professional creative mentorship.

Spartans Youth Football Club

This charity-run club provides children of all abilities the chance to play football at their home ground in Boston Manor Park.

Brentford Canal Festival 2027

As Hounslow’s largest free festival, this volunteer-led event celebrates local waterways through music, arts and free water sports taster sessions.

Fruit Bats Football Club

Training out of Blondin Park, this girls' team partners with the New York Jets to provide international athletic opportunities for local girls. 

Each year, we contribute an Environmental Impact Levy, managed by Hounslow Council, to help enhance and regenerate the local environment where our events take place. This is 10% of the land hire fee payable to the council. 

Since 2023, we have contributed to the ecological restoration of Boston Manor Park through our 10% site hire fee initiative and have invested nearly £60,000 into wider sustainability practices as well as donating nearly £13,500 to local charities. This funding has helped create a new forest school, restore meadow habitats, and plant over 7,000 native woodland bulbs across the park.

In 2024, we took our sustainability efforts further by appointing a dedicated Sustainability Lead to work closely with all event stakeholders.

We have introduced stricter food policies, including 100% vegan crew catering and requiring our traders only use compostable packaging. We’ve also partnered with our contractors to reduce energy use and increase recycling, installing HVO biofuel generators and boosting recycling rates to 47% across our events. 

In 2025, this included benefitting the Cultivate Colindale garden in London supporting the restoration of a flower meadow for biodiversity and local people.

Surplus Materials 

Reuse is at the heart of our approach to waste. Some materials that have been used, can’t be recycled e.g. scrim that covers fencing, which gardening groups can use for protecting  flowers, suppressing weeds, fence screening, windbreakers, polytunnel shading, frost barrier.

As part of our commitment to the local community, we provide free ticket pairs to residents in the Boston Manor Park area. This initiative gives an opportunity for residents to experience the event firsthand.
